Terms & Conditions for Unwind Sound Lounge

By booking or participating in services at Unwind Sound Lounge (“USL”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. PARTICIPATION & STUDIO POLICIES: USL offers wellness experiences including vibroacoustic sound therapy, meditation, infrared light therapy, aromatherapy, and related relaxation services. Clients are expected to arrive on time, follow studio instructions, and treat the space, equipment, staff, and guests respectfully. Late arrivals may result in shortened session time. USL reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.

2. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled session. Sessions canceled with more than 12 hours’ notice may receive session credit or a refund upon written request. Sessions canceled less than 12 hours before the scheduled session time, including no-shows, are non-refundable. USL reserves the right to modify pricing, memberships, services, scheduling, or studio policies at any time.

3. PRIVACY POLICY: By submitting your information through our website or booking platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information for scheduling, communication, payment processing, operational, and marketing purposes. USL does not sell personal information to third parties but may share information with trusted service providers necessary to operate the business. While reasonable safeguards are used, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

4. HEALTH DISCLAIMER & CONTRAINDICATIONS: USL does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Services are intended for wellness and relaxation purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Participation may not be appropriate for individuals with certain conditions, including but not limited to: pacemakers or implanted devices, severe heart conditions, epilepsy or seizure disorders, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pregnancy, recent surgery or open wounds, severe psychiatric conditions, acute illness, or infection. By participating, you confirm that you are physically and mentally able to participate safely and agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions prior to participation. Participation is voluntary, and you may stop at any time.

LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE

5. ASSUMPTION OF RISK: You understand that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical discomfort, dizziness, nausea, emotional release, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, reactions to sound, vibration, light exposure, aromatherapy, sensory stimulation, or equipment malfunction. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including risks arising from the ordinary negligence of USL and its representatives.

6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA LAW, YOU HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS UNWIND SOUND LOUNGE, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANY CLAIMS OR LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN SERVICES OR USE OF THE FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING CLAIMS RELATED TO PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, DISABILITY, OR DEATH, INCLUDING THOSE ARISING FROM ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.

7. CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE SECTION 1542 WAIVER: You expressly waive all rights under California Civil Code Section 1542, which states: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE…” You acknowledge that you understand and voluntarily waive these protections.

8. EQUIPMENT & PERSONAL PROPERTY: You agree to use all equipment as instructed. USL is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

9. PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE: USL may occasionally capture photos or video within the studio for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes. By participating, you grant USL permission to use your likeness, image, voice, or appearance without compensation or additional approval. If you prefer not to appear in photographs or recordings, please notify USL in writing prior to your session.

10. GOVERNING LAW & SEVERABILITY: This Agreement shall be governed by California law. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

11. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE ACKNOWLEDGMENT: By registering for a session, booking an appointment, or purchasing a package, subscription, or gift card, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood this Agreement, voluntarily agree to these Terms, Policies & Liability Waiver, and understand that your submission, registration, or purchase, constitutes your electronic signature.
